Lori Lynne Hurst is a native of Sumter, South Carolina and received her Bachelor of Music Education from Winthrop University. Her primary instruments are piano and flute. Throughout her career, Lori Lynne has taught students of all ages in a variety of settings. Her experience includes assisting with the York Comprehensive High School marching band as well being a private flute instructor for students in the York County area. She has also been a front ensemble instructor for Civitas Independent Percussion, a consistent WGI Finalist group, for 3 years. Lori Lynne has taught elementary music (K-5) in Lancaster County and currently teaches middle school band in Chester County. In her free time, Lori Lynne likes to (of course) practice and also spend time with her four-legged child, Lucky. She is very excited to start her new adventure in Spartanburg County at Berry Shoals Intermediate School as well as working with the Byrnes High School Marching Band!
