KerriAnn Freeland serves as one of the band directors at Abner Creek Middle School and is currently in her fifth year of teaching. Previously, she taught 4 years at Ralph Chandler Middle School in Greenville County where her bands consistently earned Superior with Distinctions at the SCBDA’s Concert Performance Assessment. Ms. Freeland graduated from Western Carolina University in 2020, where she earned her two degrees — a Bachelor of Science in Education and Bachelor of Music. While at WCU, she performed with the Flute Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band.

 

Ms. Freeland still actively performs on flute with local ensembles, flute choirs, and in church settings. Outside of teaching and performing, she enjoys reading and spending time with her dog, Joji.
