Our Guards
We have a wide variety of guard groups at James F. Byrnes High School. Students may begin participating as middle school students and continue throughout their high school career as part of color guard and winter guard groups.
Color Guard
The Color Guard provides the visual impact for the “Rebel Regiment”–our award-winning marching band with over 230 members. The Rebel Regiment is one of the top band programs in the southeast.
Winter Guard
Our winter guards provide three levels of development and competition. Spin Club, JV, and Indigo guards perform indoors during the winter months and compete on regional and national levels.
