Band News – Sept 25

Good morning everyone! Thanks for your patience in waiting for a schedule this morning. It was a busy weekend and we have a busy week ahead!
Thanks to everyone who came to Meet the Rebel Regiment night and a special thanks to the parents and volunteers who helped with props and fundraisers. The students had a great time performing for a very supportive audience. I can’t wait to see where we go from here!
This week we welcome our Sound Consultant, Erik Kossman, and our Percussion Arranger, Tom Rarick, to visit with us. Both are absolute experts at their craft and I look forward to the students meeting them and learning from them. Between their visits, our guard spin clinics for middle school students, a home football game, and the Tournament of Bands – it’s a very busy week!!! Next week will be a bit of a week off…. so rest is coming!
Monday – September 25th – Percussion, wind small ensembles, and soloists mic setup rehearsal until 5:30. Guard spin clinic 4:00-5:30. Guard sectionals until 7:00.
Tuesday – Competition Band until 5:45
Wednesday – Football band (NO percussion) and Guard Clinic until 5:30
Guard spin clinic 4:00-5:30. 
Traditional uniform fittings will be finished today. Some students may be a little late if they have not had their traditional uniform fitting yet.
Thursday – Competition Band until 5:45
Percussion extended rehearsal until 6:30 (Tom Rarick, our percussion arranger is visiting!)
Friday – Home Game against Spartanburg
After school rehearsal 4-5:30
Competitive Front Ensemble will be rehearsing Tom Rarick 4-5:30
We will wear our traditional uniforms! Please wear the summer uniform underneath and bring long black socks and band shoes!
Saturday – Tournament of Bands 
Football Band Performance approximately at 4:00 – Call time is 2:00PM
Football Band may be in summer uniform depending on weather
Comp Band Performance at 8:45 – Call time is 7:00PM
Comp Band will be in full uniform
Students will work shifts during the day but will be excused for Call Times. Students have been sent a link to sign up for volunteer times.

Monday, October 2nd – Percussion and Guard Sectionals
 
Tuesday – Competition Band until 5:45
 
Wednesday – NO REHEARSAL
 
Thursday – Competition Band until 5:45
 
Friday – Pep Band at Boiling Springs
 
Saturday – OFF!!!!
